Michael W. Johnson, MD, DDS

An oral and maxillofacial surgeon trained in both dentistry and medicine, caring for Durango and the Four Corners region since 1997.

A Colorado native, Dr. Johnson was raised in Fort Collins before training in dentistry, medicine, surgery and anesthesia.

  1. Colorado State University

    Graduated from Colorado State University after growing up in Fort Collins.

  2. University of Colorado School of Dentistry

    Dental training at the University of Colorado.

  3. Creighton University School of Medicine

    Medical degree from Creighton University School of Medicine.

  4. Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery

    Completed specialty training at the University of Oklahoma, plus an additional 18 months of training in General Anesthesia.

  5. Private practice in Durango

    Opened Four Corners Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery on Suttle Street.

As a former Big Brother, Dr. Johnson regularly donates to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwest Colorado. He has donated his services to the United Way annual fall Radiothon since 1997, and makes financial contributions to various schools in the Durango area.
