Wisdom Teeth

Wisdom teeth removal, without the dread

Most people worry about the experience more than the procedure. Dr. Johnson performs wisdom teeth removal in his own office, with IV general anesthesia available.

In-office anesthesia

Experience that helps nervous patients relax

Dr. Johnson spent an additional 18 months training in General Anesthesia after his oral and maxillofacial surgery training. He has the experience of over 32,000 cases of IV General Anesthesia in his office — for the extraction of teeth, wisdom teeth, dental implants and more.

Before your procedure, your surgical team will walk you through what to expect and give you written instructions. If sedation is planned, arrange for a responsible adult to drive you home afterward.

Testimonials

From patients who've been there

I got my wisdom teeth removed from here, and the process was so smooth. The staff were very professional and informative prior to the surgery, and afterwards. I’ve had very minimal post op pain.

Did a great job of extracting a fractured molar and great at making sure I didn’t feel anything at all. The staff was also extremely helpful and went above and beyond

Wisdom teeth questions

Do all wisdom teeth need to come out?

Not always. Whether removal is recommended depends on your exam and imaging — how the teeth are positioned and whether they are causing or likely to cause problems.

What kind of anesthesia is used?

IV general anesthesia is available in our office. Your surgical team will discuss the right approach for you before your procedure.

Do I need someone to drive me home?

If you're sedated for your procedure, yes — plan for a responsible adult to drive you home afterward.

How long is recovery?

Recovery varies from person to person. You'll go home with specific written instructions, and you can call the office at (970) 385-5432 with questions as you heal.
